Himanta Biswa Sarma dances with tea workers

Assam Finance Minister and convenor of BJP-led North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday was seen dancing with tea garden workers at Tarajuli tea estate in Assam’s Sonitpur district.

Apart from Sarma, BJP MP of Tezpur Lok Sabha seat Pallav Lochan Das was also seen dancing jhumur with some tea garden workers.

According to the reports, the Assam minister and the BJP MP on Thursday went to the tea estate to attend an election campaign rally for BJP candidate Rajen Borthakur for the Rangapara assembly constituency.

The bye elections for Rangapara, Ratabari, Sonari and Jania seats in Assam will be held on October 21.
