Around 51 percent voter turnout has been recorded till 2 pm for the by-election in Assam in four assembly constituencies.
According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), 51% voter turnout was recorded till 2 pm in four assembly constituencies in Assam, where polling for by- election is underway.
Polling began at 7 am and will end at 5 pm in four seats in Assam.
The voting is going on four assembly constituencies in Assam – Ratabari, Rangapara, Sonari and Jania. 47.82% voter turnout has been recorded in Ratabari seat while, 58.70% in Rangapara, 44.70% in Sonari and 50.63% in Jania seat.
A total of 6,77,367 will vote from four assembly seats in 830 polling stations.
On the other hand, 80.96% voter turnout has been recorded till 2 pm in Arunachal Pradesh’s West Khonsa seat and 44.02% in Meghalaya’s Shella seat.
