Reacting over the recent political developments in Maharashtra after the BJP losing its strongholds in another state, former Assam Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Tarun Gogoi said that, the BJP’s bad days have started and their popularity is shrinking and because of their misdeeds.
Tarun Gogoi said “The recent elections in Haryana and Maharashtra showing that, the days of the BJP are really coming down, because of their misdeeds, failure to implement or fulfill the promises made by them. People are now feeling that, they have been cheated.”
The former Assam Chief Minister said that, the Congress will come to power in Assam in 2021. He further said that, the people of India had given a chance as they had a very soft corner for Modi, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have betrayed the people’s trust, and confidence.
With the loss in Maharashtra, the BJP which earlier had command over 71 percent areas of the country has now reduced to 40 percent.
On the other hand welcoming the Supreme Court order over the Maharashtra’s present politics, Tarun Gogoi said that “It is an order to prevent the misuse of power by the Modi government.” He further said that, by the action of the Supreme Court, it undid the misdeeds, misuse of the power of the governor, Prime Minister including the President of India and it is a good sign.
