Guwahati, Oct 12: The bi-weekly Rajdhani Express between Dibrugarh and New Delhi will start operations from today, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal informed.
The new Rajdhani trains will cross over the Bogibeel Bridge for the first time and will have stoppages at important stations like Harmuti, North Lakhimpur and Rangapara.
‘A new era of rail communication begins as the bi-weekly Rajdhani Express, connecting the region with New Delhi, will start its journey through Bogibeel Bridge from today,’ Sonowal tweeted.
Sonowal also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Piyush Gogal for strengthening the rail network of the northeast region.
