Nagaland CM wishes people on Tsokum, Yemshe festival

Guwahati, Oct 4: Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphu Rio today wished the Khiamniungan community and the Pochury community of the state on the occasion of Tsokum festival and Yemshe festival respectively.
‘Happy Tsokum to the Khiamniungan community of Nagaland. May the Almighty bless you all with a bountiful harvest. My best wishes for your well-being, peace and prosperity,’ Rio tweeted
Wishing the people the Nagaland CM further tweeted, ‘Greetings to the Pochury community on the happy occasion of Yemshe. May the harvest festival foster goodwill and oneness amongst all section of people’.
The Tsokum Festival is a seven days festival celebrated in the month of October every year by the Khiamniungans Tribe of Nagaland. Tsokum is the pre harvesting festival. Similarly, Yemshe festival is also a harvest festival celebrated by the Pochury community of Nagaland.
