Guwahati, Oct 23: Inclement weather has marred the beginning to the tourist season in the famed rhino abode of Kaziranga National Park which was thrown open for tourists on October 21 with the rider of maintaining COVID19 protocols.
It has been raining since morning today making jeep safari inside the Park almost impossible while hotels and resorts are yet to get adequate response till date even as there is apprehension that incessant rainfall for a few days more will spell doom for the newly repaired jeep-able roads inside the Park.

The opening of the park was delayed by 20 days because it was yet to recover from the last wave of flood that came unwarranted in September this year.
Sources in the National Park informed in the wake of prediction of rainfall at least till tomorrow and a few days more afterwards, those involved in the tourism activities in Kaziranga Park have kept their fingers crossed.
