Maj Gen Ananta Bhuyan calls on Meghalaya Governor

Dibrugarh, 20 Oct: The ADG NCC NER, Maj Gen Ananta Bhuyan, called on Meghalaya Governor, Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhavan in Shillong.

 

During the meeting, the ADG apprised the Governor regarding the various assistance provided by the NCC cadets to the State Govt machinery in the form of crowd control, awareness regarding COVID 19 and manning of data centres by the cadets, distribution of home-made masks by the cadets. The ADG also apprised the Governor regarding the expansion of NCC in border areas of Meghalaya to facilitate students of far-flung areas to get an opportunity to be  NCC cadets.

 

The Governor, who himself was a Senior Division NCC cadet, was quite appreciative of the NCC cadets and their contribution towards the society.
