Ex-DIG  P K Dutta forwarded to judicial custody

Guwahati, October 13: Former DIG of Assam Police Prasanta Kumar Dutta who is a key accused in Assam Police SI recruitment examination paper leak scam, was forwarded to judicial custody today by the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate here on completion of six days’ police remand.

“Dutta has been sent to the judicial custody for 14 days after his CID custody had ended today. CID didn’t seek his remand before the court,” the lawyer of the forder DIG said.

Dutta, a key accused in the Assam Police SI recruitment scam case was arrested from  Kakarbhitta along the Indo-Nepal border while he was on run.
