Guwahati, Nov 10: As many as 43 players from Manipur are playing in Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 and no other state in the country has sent so many players to the ISL this season.

Manipur has apparently truly emerged as the “footballer factory” of India. The North-eastern state has consistently churned out both quality and quantity as far as supplying players to Indian clubs and the national team is concerned.

 A testimony to this is the number of Manipuri players who will be on show in the 2020-’21 edition of the Indian Super League, India’s top division. These players will be playing in various clubs of the ISL.
