Guwahati, Jan 28: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma presented appointment letters to 1208 candidates to fill up vacancies in the Health and Family Welfare Department and Home and Political Department at a function held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra here today.
The Chief Minister handed over the appointment letters to 1136 youth for Health and Family Welfare Department and 72 for Home and Political Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Sarma termed the day as very important, as 1208 youth of the state, got their appointments in Health and Family Welfare Department and Home and Political Department which is a way forward to youth empowerment. He said that human resource is the main driving force for the Health and Family Welfare Department, as induction of staff nurses will give new momentum to provide affordable and accountable health care delivery system to the people. He, said that with these appointments, government is going ahead aggressively to fulfil its commitment in giving one lakh appointment to the youth of the state.
