Drugs recovered in Guwahati, 4 arrested

Guwahati, Jan 5:  Based on secret information, four drugs peddler were apprehended by city police yesterday night at Railway Gate No. 2 and recovered 72 containers of contraband drugs from their possession. 
The arrested drug peddlers were identified as:
1.Md. Osman Khan (28) of Rahman Nagar under Hatigaon Police Station in the city. He has his permanent address as Bogari village at Chenga under Tarabari Police Station in Barpeta district 
2. Ibrahim Khan, (22) address same as that of Md Osman Khan
3. Sukur Ali (19) s/o Md Abdul Ali miya of Haripur Chowk, Chenga Bohori under Tarabari Police Station in Barpeta district.
4. Nazrul Islam (32) s/o Md Hazrat Ali, Satgaon, Nowapara 
Accordingly, a case (No. 08/2021 u/s 21(b) and 22 (b) NDPS Act) has been registered in Panbazar Police Station against the accused. 
Police informed that during interrogation the accused persons admitted to keeping bigger quantity of drugs in their house where Police conducted search and recovered 309 stripes (7416) of SEMPEX and 7 stripes of NITRAVET (210). Further investigation in this regard is on.
