Guwahati, Jan 12: Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu fondly remembered Swami Vivekanada on his 158th birth anniversary today.
‘My heartfelt obeisance to #SwamiVivekananda on his birth anniversary. A great soul who brought light into the life of millions of Indian through his great inspiring thoughts, wisdom and speeches. He awakened the potential in every Indian restoring their pride for their country,’ Khandu said in a tweet.
Khandu also took part in National Youth Day celebration in at the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya at Nirjuli in Itanagar today.
Khandu taking part on the occasion said that Swami Vivekanada was one of the greatest youth icons who stirred national and spiritual awakening among the Indians during the anti-colonial struggle days

The nation is observing the 158th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, one of the greatest spiritual leaders of India. Swami Vivekananda had introduced Indian philosophies of Vedanta and yoga to the western world. He was considered a major force in the revival of Hinduism in India and bringing it to the status of major world religion in the late 19th century. Swami Vivekananda's birthday is also observed as National Youth Day in the country.
