Guwahati, Jan 22: Assam agriculture and veterinary Minister Atul Bora launched the animal ambulance service at the ongoing National Agri-Horticultural Show 2021 at Bokakhat in Golaghat district today. The animal ambulances have been named as ‘Pashudhan Sarathi’.
Speaking on the occasion, Bora said that these animal ambulances will provide new boost to animal husbandry and veterinary sector of the State and will also give proper healthcare to the animals.
‘Animal Husbandry & Veterinary sector in Assam gets a new boost. Distributed Animal Ambulances 'Pashudhan Sarathi' at National Agri Horti Show 2021 today in Bokakhat. These ambulances shall make it easier to reach distressed animals quickly & provide them with proper healthcare,’ Bora said in a tweet
The National Agri-Horticultural Show 2021 began at Bokakhat on Thursday which was attended by Ministers Atul Bora, Keshab Mahanta, Rajya Sabha MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa and a host of other dignitaries.
The event was also virtually addressed by Union minister of agriculture and farmer welfare Narendra Singh Tomar and Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
