Guwahati, Jan 29: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh inaugurated Tamenglong water supply project  in Tamenglong District today. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that this ambitious project is taken up by the state government under ‘Go to Hills’ mission with an aim to provide safe drinking water to every household of the district.

Biren Singh also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking the initiative to provide safe drinking water to every rural household in Manupur under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Modi introduced the Jal Jeevan Mission with motto Har Ghar Jal with an aims to provide drinking water to every rural household by 2024.

‘ Tamenglong water supply project is inaugurated today. One of the most ambitious schemes taken up by the State Govt. under #GotoHills Mission with an aim to provide safe drinking water to every household in Tamenglong District, thanks to Hon’ble PM narendramodi ji,’ the chief minister said in a tweet.
