Guwahati, Feb 15: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh extended his greetings to the people of Manipur particularly to the Naga brethren on the joyous occasion of Lui-Ngai-Ni festival today.
The Chief Minister wished that the festival bring happiness and prosperity and also spread the message of unity, peace and brotherhood amongst all communities of the state

Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu also wished the Nagas in Manipur a happy Lui-Ngai-Ni festival. ‘My best wishes and greetings to Nagas in Manipur celebrating #LuiNgaiNi, the seed sowing festival. May Almighty bless the mankind with abundant harvest, happiness and prosperity. Congratulations to Naga community that has fervently preserved its old age traditions & culture,’ Khandu tweeted.
‘ Lui Ngai Ni is the seed-sowing festival celebrated by the Naga tribes of Manipur. The festival marks the start of the year for the Nagas. The festival was declared a state holiday since 1988.’
