Guwahati, Feb 17: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh discussed the upcoming election scenario with Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
Singh took to Twitter saying, "Had a detailed one to one meeting with #Assam CM Sh @SarbanandSonwal at his Guwahati residence. Discussed the ongoing Projects in the State as well the upcoming Election scenario."
Legislative Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Assam in mid April 2021.

Guwahati, Feb 17: Assam Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today extended greetings to the people of Assam on the occasion of the Ali Aye Ligang festival.
"Greetings and best wishes for the agricultural festival Ali Aye Ligang to the Assamese people, especially to the Mishing brothers and sisters. May the unity and cultural diversity of Assam be evoked by the melodies and rhythm of the festival," roughly translated from Prof Mukhi's tweet.
"May the Ali Aye Ligang festival bring a sense of happiness, joy and prosperity to the life of all, including the farmers," roughly translated from Sonowal's tweet.
"Wishing everyone on the occasion of Mishing festival Ali Aye Ligang. May this festival, held on the first Wednesday of the month of February, bring joy and happiness to all," roughly translated from Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's tweet.
