Guwahati, Feb 18: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today offered tributes to the mighty Brahmaputra in Majuli, ahead of the launch of Mahabahu-Brahmaputra which will mark the inauguration of the Ro-Pax vessel operations between Neamati-Majuli Island.
‘Offered tributes to the mighty Brahmaputra at Majuli, and sought its blessings for prosperity and peace, as we embark on an auspicious journey of progress. Brahmaputra Naman,’ Sonowal tweeted.
Meanwhile, Assam Health and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his determined focus on Assam and the North East in form of multiple projects since 2014.
‘Assam is forever grateful to Hon PM Sri Narendra Modi for his determined focus on Assam and the North East. Today's programs are yet another affirmation of Government of India's relentless efforts to improve infrastructure through multiple development projects,’ Himanta Said in a tweet.
Modi will launch the 'Mahabahu-Brahmaputra' and will also lay the foundation stone of Dhubri Phulbari Bridge via video conferencing today.
