Guwahati, Feb 20: On the ocassion of the 34th Mizoram State Day, Chief Minister Zoramthanga paid tribute to the valuable lives lost in creating today's state.
Taking to Twitter, Zoramthanga said, "Today, as we celebrate the 34th Mizoram State Day, we honor the valuable lives lost in creating today's Mizoram.
Their sacrifices will never be forgotten.
Dear friends, let us all work together on our gains and strive forward in creating a model state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in his Twitter handle, "Best wishes to my sisters and brothers of Mizoram on their Statehood Day. The entire nation is proud of the great Mizo culture. The people of Mizoram are known for their kindness and commitment to living in harmony with nature. Praying for the state's continuous growth."
Meanwhile, taking to Twitter Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, "Warm statehood day greetings to my brothers and sisters from Mizoram. A state with vibrant people and rich culture, may Almighty bless the state with peace and prosperity."
Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to twitter saying, "Greetings to the lovely people of Arunanchal Pradesh and Mizoram on their Statehood Day.
May you continue to prosper with joy, happiness, good health and all round development."
Mizoram became the 23rd state of India on February 20, 1987, with the Fifty-Third Amendment of the Indian Constitution, 1986.

Guwahati, Feb 20: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today extended his warm wishes to the people of the state on Statehood Day.
Taking to Twitter, Khandu said, "My warm greetings to beloved people of #ArunachalPradesh on our 35th #StatehoodDay. On this day in 1987, we became full-fledged state of Indian Union. With that came great responsibilities. Let us all work together to make Arunachal a peaceful and prosperous State."
