DC bans parking of heavy vehicles on both sides of NH at Changsari

Guwahati, 1 July: DC, Kamrup Kailash Karthik N, by an order under section 144 of Cr PC, has prohibited the parking of heavy vehicles on both sides of the National Highway at Changsari with immediate effect. The order shall be remained in force until further order. 

It may be mentioned here that parking of heavy vehicles on both sides of the National Highway at Changsari have been posing grave threat to human lives and at the same time causing immense inconvenience to passing vehicles.

The accumulation Diesel, Mobil, grease etc. leaked from the parked vehicles renders the road slippery and unsafe for driving. Thus, road accidents leading to loss of lives and permanent disability are a frequent happening and on the rise in the area.

It is also mentioned in the order that any person aggrieved with the order is at liberty to appear before the DC court within 15 days from issue of the order for filing written objection, if any, for cancellation / modification of the order.
