Guwahati, Sept 7: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has launched cruise packages for the first time to cater to domestic and international tourists.
The Indian Railways has opened the bookings for cruise packages. Tourists can book the packages for the month of October, November and December. You can visit the official IRCTC tourism website (irctctourism.com) to book cruise tickets.
IRCTC is offering various cruise packages in partnership with Cordelia Cruises, which is a cruise line that offers various tour packages across South and West India.
Tourists will be able to book tickets for visiting the serene beaches of Goa, Diu, Lakshadweep and Kochi on a cruise. Most of the packages will let passengers board a cruise from Mumbai.
IRCTC cruise booking: Cruise weekender package
The 5 nights and 6 days Cruise weekender package offered by IRCTC will allow tourists to visit two famous locations in South India. The cruise will start sailing from Mumbai on September 20. The package costs Rs 23,467 per person.
IRCTC cruise booking: Kerala delight package
Priced at Rs 19,898 per person, the Kerala delight package offers a chance to visit God’s own country in a new and exciting way via a cruise. The 2 nights and 3 days package’s departure date is September 20. Tourists will be able to board the cruise from Mumbai.
IRCTC cruise booking: Sundowner to Goa package
The Sundowner to Goa cruise package, which is priced at Rs 23,467, offers 2 nights and 3 days stay completely managed by the travel agency. Travellers booking the package will need to arrive in Mumbai on September 25.
IRCTC cruise booking: Lakshadweep package
In the Lakshadweep package, customers will get a chance to visit some of the most serene islands near Sri Lanka. The plan is priced at Rs 49,745 and ensures 5 nights and 6 days trips.
