4th edition of Namdapha Butterfly Meet ends with finding of 212 species 

Dibrugarh, Sept 29:  The  4th edition of Namdapha Butterfly Meet ends with finding of 212 species. The meet was attended by participants from eight different states of the country and students from different colleges/university of the state viz RGU, JNC Pasighat, IGGC Tezu, Arunachal University of Studies Namsai, Namdapha Degree college Miao and NERIST.

This time, more  students from Changlang  and other districts of AP attended, which is a kind of succes for the meet since its first addition as the main purpose of organizing this event is to spread knowledge conservation through attracting more  students towards nature conservation.
Various activities like nature walk, talks on butterflies and conservation were held during the 3-day meet at Deban camp of Namdapha Tiger Reserve.
Many butterfly experts and scholars attended the meet and shared their valuable knowledge to the student participants.
Organizing secretary Minom Pertin and his teammate Roshan Upadhaya  expressed their happiness for getting huge response from all over the country in this edition. Participants from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Sikkim, West Bengal, Chattisgarh, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh took part in the 3 days event.
Butterfly experts Dr. Monsoon Jyoti Gogoi & Nawangla Bhutia  were there to guide the participants.
A proper checklist through systematic study in the field was created at the end of the meet.
The event concluded with cleanliness drive, jointly organised by Namdapha Butterfly Meet Organising team, NEIFM Pasighat and Namdapha authority.
