SFI stages protest against petrol price hike

Guwahati, Oct 11: Activitsts of  Students' Federation of India (SFI ) today staged protest in front of petrol pumps against unabated hike in  prices of petrol and Diesel in Guwahati . On Sunday, the petrol price in Guwhati crossed the Rs 100 mark. Several other parts of Assam had already been hit by the continuous hikes since last week, with petrol ;prices in many districts crossing the century mark.

In addition, the price of diesel was alsoincreased by 37 paise on Saturday. The recent increase in prices of the fuel is the 10th hike this week all across India, while the prices have been hiked 13 times already since September 24.
