Meghalaya Governor urged to protect minorities

Guwahati, Jan 28: Assam State Linguistic Minority Board chairman and a BJP MLA from Assam, Shiladitya Dev today met Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik in Shillong and impressed upon the latter need to ensure security to life and property of minorities living in the Hill state.

His visit came in the wake of the recent twin assaults on non0tribals in Shillong - Lumdiengjri and Diman Hall.

Dev also sought the creation of a Meghalaya State Linguist Minority Board Dev was accompanied by State BJP MLA and former minister A L Hek while meeting the Governor.
