Dibrugarh, March 7: The ongoing operation between the 6" Assam Rifles and NSCN IM insurgents continued for the second day today at Kapu village Tirap District of Arunachal Pradesh. Earlier in the day the security Forces recovered one HK Series Assault Rifles from the site of the firefight after detailed search alongwith one magazine and 40 rounds of ammunition.
In a joint show of resistance against the NSCN IM insurgent group today at around 11 am the villagers including women and children of Kapu village came out in strength and unanimously voiced their protest against harassment villagers and nefarious activities of the insurgents through a protest rally.
The villagers unanimously condemned the constant exploitation meted out to them by various factions of NSCN and waved placards to protest against the insurgent gps for their frequent acts of brutal terror and illegal extortion and harrassment in South Arunachal Pradesh.
The insurgents of NSCN (IM) insurgents earlier had placed demands for payment of extortion money from shop keepers, contractors and local businessmen of Kapu village alongwith demand of one lakh rupees from the road construction company and also demanded rations & pig for consumption from the poor villagers.
