Jishnu Barua, Assam's Chief Secretary visits historic Charaideo maidam complex

Sonari, 27 March : The Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Jishnu Barua (IAS) along with  Paul Barua, Deputy Commissioner, Charaideo and Sudhakar Singh, SP Charaideo visited the Charaideo Archaeological Site along with the officials of the Directorate of Archaeology, Assam today.

During his visit Chief Secretary Barua took keen interest in the overall development of the site and suggested some important ideas for the wide and overall publicity of the site. He also visted Langkuri Doul Archaeological Site and wound up the visit in the heritage bunglow of Charaideo Purbat Tea garden where the moidam of Ahom Queen Phuleswari Kunwari is also located.
