Amlan Borgohain, Hima Das win gold

Guwahati, April 6:  Amlan Borgohain and Dhing Express Hima Das have won Gold in 200 meter run in Senior Men and Woman categories respectively in Federation Cup Athletics Championship today at Calicut. 

Amlan created new national record with a timing of 20.53 seconds.  Amlan is the new sensation in Indian Athletics and he qualified for the Senior World Athletics Championship to be held at Oregon in USA in July. He also qualified for Asian Games to be held at China in the month of September this year.

He will be the first player from Assam to participate in Senior World Athletics Championship.
