Huge cache of arms and ammunition recovered

Guwahati, April 11: On receipt of the specific information, that some sophisticated weapons are kept hidden in Ultapani and Selekaguri Forest areas by ex-NLFB /ULB militant cadres, a massive operation was launched under the command of Prateek V Thube, SP Kokrajhar and Surjit Singh Panesar Additional SP(HQ), Kokrajhar from April 9 last.

This operation was successfully completed today at about 4 AM with recovery of a huge cache of arms and ammunition that included three AK-56 assault rifle, one AK-47 assault rifle, one sniper rifle, one M16 rifle, one Serili Rifle, four magazines and 130 rounds of AK series ammunition.
