Guwahati, Nov 27: The Bharatiya Janata party (Assam unit) today released its election manifesto for the upcoming BTC polls.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to announce the release of its manifesto for BTC. "Driven by vision of PM @narendramodi, @BJP4India is committed to speed up development and ensure good governance. Our manifesto for BTC, released today is our commitment for prosperity for all. We shall ensure #SabkaSaathSabkaVikas," Himanta tweeted.
The health minister today travelled through BTC to seek the support of people for the upcoming election in Assam. Himanta shared a video in his social media handle and captioned it as, "The picturesque Dotoma in Kokrajhar glow further with people's overwhelming affection & warmth. Thank you my friends. Having travelled through BTC, we are confident of @BJP4Assam victory. Do shower your support through your precious votes."
The election manifesto was released at Kokrajhar in the presence of party president Ranjit Dass and Dilip Saikia and Biswajit Daimary.
BTC goes to polls on December 7 and 10.
The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) is an autonomous district council for the Bodoland Territorial Region. It was established in February 2003. The BTC has 40 elected members and an additional six members that are appointed by the Governor of Assam. The area under the BTC jurisdiction is officially called the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
