AASU accords warm send-off to Lurinjyoti and others

Guwahati, Dec 4: Outgoing General Secretary of All Assam Students' Union (AASU), Lurinjyoti Gogoi is being given a warm send-off by the AASU leaders including Adviser, Dr Samujjal Bhattacharjya at a function organised at Gauhati University today. Lurinjyoti Gogoi has quit the students' organisation to join newly-formed political party, Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP) with the intention to contest the next Assembly Election in Assam in 2021.

Fifteen other senior leaders of the AASU who have quit the organisation, were felicitated by the students' body in the function today.
