Sonowal, Governor Mukhi extends wishes on Armed Forces Flag Day

Guwahati, December 7: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal extended his greetings to the security forces and their families on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day today.

Taking to twitter Sonowal wrote, ‘On Armed Forces Flag Day, let us honour the fortitude, courage and sacrifice of our brave soldiers and pledge to contribute towards the welfare of their families. To donate, you can visit http://ksb.gov.in. #ArmedForcesFlagDay.’

Assam Governor Prof.Jagdish Mukhi also conveyed his greetings to the security forces and their families on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day today.

‘ #ArmedForcesFlagDay is an occasion to pay tributes to the courage and dedication of our soldiers and acknowledge  their valor and sacrifice to the cause of the country. On the occasion, I convey my greetings to all Armed Forces personnel, proud veterans and their family member,’ Mukhi tweeted. 

The Armed Forces Flag Day has been observed annually in India on December 7 since 1949, the day is dedicated to India towards collection of funds from people of India for the welfare of the Indian Armed Forces personnel.
