Guwahati, 9 April: Indian Medical Association, Arunachal Pradesh Chapter has launched ‘Masks4Arunachal’ campaign to sensitise the people of the sparsely populated frontier hill state to wear face masks to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
The initiative has been launched by the IMA chapter to ensure that 100 % people of the state start wearing masks to defeat the threat of the global pandemic.
A WHO estimate has put that if 80% people on the globe wear masks then the virus can be defeated.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu has appreciated the initiative of the IMA, Arunachal chapter for the benefit of common people in the hill state at this time of crisis.
So far, only one person has tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Arunachal Pradesh where the state government has imposed strict lock down protocols in coordination with defence forces based in the frontier state.
