Mirabai Chanu takes part in Adidas's Hometeam hero challenge

Guwahati, 30 May: Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu today shared a workout photo in her Instagram account as she takes part in Adidas's Hometeam hero challenge.
Sharing the photo Chanu wrote, ' Hello everyone! Just finished my workout and this one is dedicated to our frontline Warriors around the globe. For every 1 hour of exercise recorded in the app - Adidas will donate $1 to the WHO to fight Covid-19. I urge you to take part in the Hometeam Hero Challenge by Downloading the adidas Running or Training app now.'
The Hometeam Hero Challenge, launched by Adidas is a virtual sporting event for the athletes all over the world to unite and help make a difference by dedicating their workouts for a good cause.
The sportswear giant's challenge will run from May 29 to June 7 and will witness the participation of top Indian sportspersons. Apart Mirabai Chanu, other sportsperson taking part in the campaign includes Assam sprinter Hima Das, cricketer Rohit Sharma and boxers Nikhat Zareen and Simranjit Kaur.
Adidas will donate USD 1 (Rs 76) to the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund of the World Health Organisation for every hour of tracked activity. The goal of the company is to reach one million hours.
