Meghalaya RS polls held under strict COVID-19 protocols

Guwahati, 19 June: All members of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly including the Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh and leader of the Opposition, Dr Mukul Sangma have strictly followed health protocols put in place in Assembly building to cast their votes in Rajya Sabha election that is underway in Shillong since this morning.
The protocols like social distancing, hand washing etc. have been put in place by the Chief Electoral Officer, Frederick Kharkongor, during Rajya Sabha polls in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
