Tripura govt introduces public immunity boosting programme

Guwahati, July 1: The Tripura government introduced public immunity boosting programme in urban areas on Tuesday to help boost immunity of the weaker section of society.
"Healthy society is the the foundation for socio-economic development of any state. Keeping this in view, our Govt has decided to introduce public immunity boosting programme in urban areas for next one month," Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted.
Under the programme, the government, through Self Help Groups (SHGs), will distribute Vitamin C enriched juice and fruits, specially pineapple and lemon, among urban population for one month in July 2020.
The fruits will be directly purchased from the state farmers. The Chief Minister directed NULM teams to closely monitor the scheme for effective implementation in the grassroot level.
