Frontline warriors fall prey to COVID-19 in Assam

Guwahati, July 5: It is not just doctors,nurses even some other frontline warriors playing a key role in the battle against Covid-19 in Assam, including police officers, have fallen prey to the deadly disease.

On Saturday, Additional Deputy Commissioner Chinmoy Nath and Kamrup (Metro) District Information and Public Relations Officer (DIPRO) Ratan Saud tested positive for COVID-19, prompting imposition of containment measures at the Kamrup (Metro) DC office.

Also Additioanl Deputy Commissioner of Police (Admin) Ponjit Dowarah also tested positive for the virus.

Meanwhile, PA of Supply Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury, Abani Mahnata was tested for COVID-19 positive on Saturday.
