Guwahati, 5 July: Assam government is not going to comply with ICMR’s prescription for keeping asymptomatic COVID-19 positive patients in home isolation.
State Health Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today said, “Home isolation of asymptomatic COVID-19 positive patients is not possible in Assam where the society will never accept it. Besides, keeping such a patient in home isolation is dangerous as it is not possible to keep ‘on call doctors’ in their service in case the condition of the patients deteriorates.”
