Papon urges fans to contribute for Assam flood victims

Guwahati, July 21: Popular Bollywood singer, Angarag Papon Mahanta has urged his fans to come out in numbers and support the victims of Assam flood tragedy.

The singer said that earthful foundation team along with his fans and volunteers from various groups are doing their bit to provide relief materials to the victims in few districts of the state.

‘Assam is in bad shape. More than 55 lakh families affected due to the floods! Papon also expressed condolences for those affected flood in Assam in his message.

A population of 25.29 lakh in 2400 villages and localities across 24 districts remains affected by the flood, with the highest number of people displaced reported from Goalpara district, where over 4.50 lakh villagers are currently affected. The number of human lives lost in the current wave of floods in Assam rose to 85.
