Dibrugarh, 6 August : Air Marshal RD Mathur, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Air Command IAF arrived on a two day visit to Air Force Station Chabua, the Eastern most fighter Base of IAF today.
On arrival, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief was received by Air Commodore Vikas Sharma, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Chabua. During the visit, he inspected various units and key location at the Station to assess their operational preparedness. He was also briefed on the ongoing modern infrastructure development projects aimed at improving the combat potential of the Base.
The Air Marshal addressed and interacted with the Station personnel and directed them to maintain high standards of safety, operational preparedness and security awareness. The Air Marshal also reviewed all the measures taken towards the prevalent COVID-19 pandemic and emphasized the importance of ensuring operational capabilities through diligent planning and utilisation of resources during these challenging times. The Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief conveyed his appreciations for the excellent involvement and commitment to duty displayed by all personnel of IAF Station and advised them to stay fit and remain vigilant.
