For the first time NERAMAC procures dragon fruit directly from farm

Guwahati, Aug 6: The North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation (NERAMAC) had For the first time procured dragon fruit directly from the farm, Ministry of DoNER informed.
C Daimari, a retired teacher is the owner of the farm which is located at Udalguri district. Daimari has been cultivating dragon fruit for the last 2 years. They are also considered to be one of the largest growers of dragon fruit in Assam.
NERAMAC, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) was set up to support farmers and producers of North East region getting remunerative prices for their produce. The organisation was also set up to enhance the agricultural, procurement, processing and marketing infrastructure of the North-eastern Region of India.
