Let us celebrate Poshan Maah by promoting regional foods: Sonowal

Guwahati, Sep 7: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today urged everyone to celebrate "Poshan Maah 2020" by promoting regional foods.

Sonowal in a tweet wrote, "Nutrition is essential for nation building. Let us celebrate PoshanMaah2020 by promoting our regional foods."

"Share your own recipes on the MyGov link https://innovate.mygov.in/poshanrecipe and be Local4Poshan," he added.

The Prime Minister's Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition or POSHAN Abhiyaan is a flagship programme of the Government of India to improve nutritional outcomes for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers. The POSHAN Abhiyaan directs the attention of the country towards malnutrition issue and address it in a mission-mode.
