Person travelling outside Assam and returning within 96 hrs not to be quarantined

Guwahati, Sep 11: Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that a person who travels outside Assam and returns within 96 hrs will not be quarantined.
Himanta Biswa took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal that the Assam Health and Family Welfare Department has issued two important decisions relating to Covid quarantine and cremation of Covid patients. Sarma said that the government would provide upto Rs 5,000 towards cremation of Covid patients if family is unable to bear cost.

A. In view of unlock4guidelines a person who travels outside Assam & returns within 96 hrs will not be quarantined subject to conditions in attached order
B. Upto Rs 5000 towards cremation of #Covid patients if family unable to bear cost," Himanta's tweet read.
Meanwhile, so far, Assam reported 135805 COVID-19 positive cases, including 29687 active cases. So far 105701 patients have recovered in the state.
