Chief Minister Dr. Sarma inaugurated the 65th kitchen of the Foundation at Jorhat, which was built at a cost of Rs. 14 crore to serve mid-day meal to 12 thousand students from 157 schools
Saying that there is a demand for 2200 MW of power in the state, the Chief Minister informed that efforts are on to meet the demand through exploring the hydroelectric and solar power potential.
"Policy has been changed so that students can be taught in the medical colleges in their local languages and mother tongue," Modi said after inaugurating the Dibrugarh Cancer Centre at the Assam Medical College and Hospital.
The new cancer care facilities, with advanced diagnostics infrastructure, will also be accessible to cancer patients from the other northeastern states.
The project was ceremoniously inaugurated by Prasanta Borkakoty, RCE OIL in presence of S S Sharma, DIG CISF, Gayanendra Kumar, Senior Commmandant, CISF and other officials of OIL.
It may be noted that Assam received 40 oxygen generators as donations from PM CARES Fund. Chief Minister Dr. Sarma inaugurated 14 of them with generating capacity of 15.71 metric tonne per day.
